1) Strip the factory coating using Angelus Leather Prepare and Deglazer

2) Load the machine with 2-thin and acrylic leather paint.

3) Etch the design into the top grain.

4) Wipe away excess and seal for a non-cracking formula.

Strip the Factory Finish: Wipe the shoes with Angelus Leather Preparer & Deglazer to loosen the factory coat.

Sand (400 Grit): Gives your acrylic leather paint a surface to grip. Focus on high-crease areas like the toe box.

Deep Clean: Go back in with a cotton pad and Leather Preparer to clean out the corners.

Smooth the Surface: Optional—use Angelus Paintable Repair Filler on stitch holes or scuffs, then fine-sand with 800-1500 grit.

The Base Coat: Apply a light coat of Flat White paint. This creates a matte base that grips pencil easily for your sketch.
