Business Owners…. This is your chance to shape the future. SBCAF has always been about finding and empowering talent and skill that might not always be traditional.

To all you Sanger Area Business owners, we really need your input! Let me explain. In a new developing partnership with the school district and the Economic Development Corporation we are seeking input from area business owners and employers regarding a need (or future need) for a skilled workforce and what that might actually look like.

As you may or may not know, the Foundation works along side the school district to help not only financially support current student programs but also to help identify any potential new student programs the district can perhaps offer to our students. YOU as a business owner or employer know what skills you are looking for, which is WHY we are reaching out to you. The Sanger Economic Development Corporation works along side business owners which is exactly why your input is so valuable as we further develop this new exciting partnership with the school district. As the EDC Executive Director stated, " A steady pipeline of skilled employees at all levels is vital for economic development and benefits employers like you." Did you know that SISD already offers an excellent opportunity to recruit future talent? (Check out: https://www.sangerisd.net/departments/career-and-technical-education ) And with your insight into what that future talent might look like, the EDC and SISD can create workforce training programs that focus on the skills you find most essential.

FFA Activities: Lone Star FFA Degree Recipient, Sanger FFA Officer 2 years, Greenhand Officer Team, Market and Breeding Swine, Greenhand Chapter Conducting, Greenhand Quiz Team, Area Qualifier Ag Issues Forum, 4 times State Qualifier Wool Evaluation, Livestock Evaluation, State Qualifier Meats Evaluation and Entomology.

Favorite FFA Memory: Watching the solar eclipse with my teammates and everyone at the Area V Wool Evaluation Contest. Then, we found out we "totally eclipsed" the competition by winning 1st at Area and advancing to State.

Scholarships Recieved: $6000 - Big Tex State Fair of Texas Scholarship, $250 Texas National Stock Show Scholarship, $1500 West Texas A&M University Educational Scholarship

Future Plans: I will attend West Texas A&M University in the fall and major in Agricultural Education.
