🌿5 Knots in 5 Days - Day 5

Today's knot is the Gathering Knot

This knot is used to gather cords together. I often use this knot at the top and bottom of plant hangers, to secure tassels, or as a decorative way to finish cords at the bottom of a wall hanging.

I often think of this knot as the finishing touch that helps pull a project together. It's decorative, but it also serves an important structural purpose by keeping cords neatly secured.

This is part 5 in my 5 Knots in 5 Days series. Check out my page to catch up on any parts that you may have missed and consider following if you want to see more of this series.

What's your favorite part of a project: getting started, seeing it take shape, or adding the finishing touches?

🌿5 Knots in 5 Days - Day 1

Today we're starting with the Lark's Head Knot, one the most common knot used as the starting point for many macramé projects.

This simple knot is the one I use most often to attach cords to rings, branches, dowels, or anything else I want to use as a mount for a project.

This is part 1 in my 5 Knots in 5 Days Series, Check out my page to watch any parts that you have missed and consider following if you want to see more of this series.

Are you new to macramé, or have you been knotting for a while?
