🚨 STOP SCROLLING! The sun isn't your enemy... your Vitamin D deficiency might be. ☀️
What if avoiding the sun completely is actually causing more harm than good?
Millions of people have low vitamin D levels without realizing it—and it can affect much more than just your bones.
Vitamin D plays an important role in supporting: Immune function, Bone and muscle health, Heart, brain, mood health and many other functions where Viamin D is needed.
The truth is, our bodies are designed to make vitamin D when our skin is exposed to sunlight. Yet many of us spend our days indoors, wear sunscreen all the time, or avoid the sun altogether.
🌞 A little sunshine can go a long way.
Some general tips:
✅ Spend short periods outdoors when it's safe for your skin type.
✅ Avoid getting sunburned.
✅ If you are at high risk for skin cancer or have a history of skin cancer, follow your dermatologist's recommendations.
✅ If you're concerned about your vitamin D status, ask your healthcare provider whether testing is appropriate.
Not everyone can make enough vitamin D from sunlight alone. Age, skin tone, geographic location, season, sunscreen use, and certain medical conditions can all affect vitamin D production.
