A while back I was reconnecting with the Herb Alpert Presents Sergio Mendes & Brasil '66 debut album and obsessing on the Henry Mancini penned "Lujon". I decided to join Lujon to the version of "Slow Hot Wind" that I heard from Sergio Mendes.
The music starts about a minute in . The group of singers was an offshoot on my main band , The Slippery Slope . 3, sometimes 4 ladies working the harmonies that I named "The Brill Belles" after the famous Manhattan building.

The Slippery Slope's final incarnation disbanded in 2015. That is now going on 8 years since our last time on stage or in the studio:
I am looking for players! A drummer, a pianist and upright bassist who get Easy Listening, Brazilian, Exotica Swing and psychedelic influence on many forms of popular music (not just rock) .
We started out in Oakland and once again we are going to be OAKLAND BASED.

Here’s the Players receiving gold discs from Mercury Records > right to left we got: Satch, Sugar, Billy, Rock, Chet, Merv, Diamond, P*e Wee in attendance. Some of these brothers are not here to celebrate a new year with us, all the more reason to come and watch the band play this year, because one thing that never left and never will is the music. Come watch the OG’s with a ten piece band playing all the hits you love.
