BRITANNICA is a Massachusetts North Shore classic rock band comprised of former members of the popular Boston bands Smuggler and Roadsteamer. BRITANNICA is one of the few professional bands who can recreate the sounds and vocal harmonies of the Beatles, the Kinks, Moody Blues, Rolling Stones, the Who, Badfinger, and many other British bands. BRITANNICA also has a repertoire of original songs that
are performed by both the band and the acoustic duet, comprised of guitarists/vocalists Ted Solovicos and Peter Tentindo. This constantly on-demand and respected band has accumulated a large following through performances and a continuously growing email list. BRITANNICA has been hired by the city of Salem, MA to play at it's extremely busy Halloween festivities three years in a row. BRITANNICA recently opened up for former Survivor lead singer Jimi Jamison at Maddy's in Saugus, MA, and the House of Blues Foundation Room in Boston, MA. For 2010, BRITANNICA performed at both Salem and Danvers 4th of July Fireworks celebrations to huge crowds. BRITANNICA has also performed at the famous Kowloon restaurant, opening for J. Ted and Peter's acoustic duet has also performed a number of times at the famous Topsfield Fair in October 2010. Other highlights include playing the Danvers, MA Family Festival Fireworks for 2009, the 2009 Lobsterfest in Beverly, MA, the Salem, MA 2009 Summer Solstice Festival, the Boxford 2009 Historical Apple Festival, and more. BRITANNICA has been featured numerous times in the Salem Evening News, the North Shore Sunday, and the Salem Gazette. Members of BRITANNICA have also been featured in the Boston Phoenix and Boston Globe as well.
