Dr to let us monitor his fevers at home. For a total of 43 days Trey had fevers of 104+ where we would have to pack him in ice because we couldn't give him medication as often as the fevers were coming. After severall CT scans, xrays, consultations from other physicians and facilities, and a liver biopsy the source of the fevers was found. Trey had developed a fungal infection in his bloodstream. He then had to have his port removed, a PICC line placed to administer the medications, and after 8 weeks of IV medication he had to have another port placed. Once the infection was cleared up, we were able to resume treatment as usual. Trey was due to complete his treatment October 24th 2014. On December 18th 2013 Trey went in for a routine treatment, the next morning we got the call that Trey had relapsed. It was hard enough hearing this news the first time, but to hear it twice is unimaginable, because now, I know exactly what he is in for with his treatment. I started this page to share Trey's story and to help bring awareness to Childhood Cancer! Please help us to spread the word about Childhood Cancer ... because...KIDS CAN'T FIGHT ALONE!!!!
