Digital Boondocks

The Tagalog word for mountain is,"bundok'. When I say mountains, they really were out in the sticks. So the word eventually turned into "boondocks." Probably from soldiers mispronouncing it. In the mountains of the Philippines there are still many indigenous tribes and many at one time were headhunters. I decided to use a headhunter as my icon not only because I'm Filipino, but I'm trying to carve a place for myself in the internet boondocks.

Today I got to shoot a cool residential aquaponic system. Two professors from Sac State were on hand to install fish and tell me about the system. It's part of the CA Endowment's Urban Ag video that I'm currently working on.
