Finally got a chance to eat at the famous Le Train Bleu in the Gare de Lyon train station. Absolutely beautiful restaurant and excellent food. Then dessert featured rum poured over the cake but then they left the whole decanter on the table. It felt like a trap.
Marseille: the Old Port, Sunday Market, busker with the most interesting instrument, Iles if If & Frioul, the Mediterranean. The castle on If stated as a fort then became a prison and had links to both The Count of Monte Cristo and The Man in the Iron Mask.

Mixed feelings as I adore the Palais Garnier but this is likely my last time here for many years. It is closing next year for renovations that were originally only for a couple of years but now I am hearing will be five years as they will now also tackle all the lead in the building.
