SWG Studio and Design

I hit a creative block in my painting shortly after I posted a month ago.
Why? Could be any and all the following. The weather changed, and my art studio was cold. The gesso for the saws feels gritty and icky. Some family health issues popped up and were dealt with. I slept poorly. The house was cluttered.
But sometimes painting pebbles is the way to scoot past the block. Little dopamine hits.
And the day after I started painting pebbles, in the kitchen, I started decluttering, moved the saws to the garage to wait for spring, and started sleeping better.

Aaaaand here I am for the next week.
Lidocaine/steroid shot in my right knee. Rest (recliner), Ice, Compression (not just yet, have to wait a tick while the fluid absorbs), Elevate (with cushion from couch). The lidocaine has worn off and I'm waiting the 2 to 5 days for the steroid to kick in. My son pulled my lower leg down to let the shot circulate into the arthritis-y area on the inside of the knee where it will do the most good. Right now, it's pooling mostly on the outside of and above the kneecap. And it hurts with a deep ache. So Much Better than the shot for the other knee a couple years ago, which felt like knives inside my knee for 3 weeks.
You can catch a glimpse of my black kitty under the commode, lol.
My helpers are on board and treating me well, but art is out for a few days, dang it!

I last posted on June 25. Shortly after that, I stumbled over the curb and reinjured my healing knee, much worse than before. Between the pain in the first couple of weeks and the pain meds after, I have not been able to art. Firstly, I was physically unable to enter the studio for 5 weeks. Secondly, once I did, my brain just couldn't create. I'd go in with an idea, sit at my desk, and look around at my wonderful art supplies. Then I'd tidy a few things, stack a few things, look around some more, and eventually leave without creating anything.
I have an orthopedic consultation tomorrow, so I have stopped the prescription anti-inflammatory drug and am back to ibuprofen and tylenol.
And look!
Art!
4×3" wood butterfly cutout painted with gold paintvpen and DecoArt Americana craft paint.
It's not much, but it's a start.

I was happily painting away and never noticed the sun come up. Here's what I was painting all night from 11 pm to 6 am.
Mouse included for size.

I've ordered 2 more cards of my artwork to fill up my card stand. Yay!
Hope to see these by June 10.
I estimate that I can purchase 2 sets of cards every month as long as the SS checks keep coming. Now to take better pictures of my most recent paintings!
