Perry’s Patisserie on film! 🥖

We threw a whimsical French café for Perry’s first birthday and learned a few things about hosting a first birthday party along the way:

〰️ Outsource what you can (we had a latte cart on drinks & on food!)
〰️ Prep the day/night before (flowers, decor, table setup! your day-of should be minimal, especially if it’s a morning party)
〰️ Have guests write a note for the birthday baby to open on their 18th birthday (such a sweet keepsake! I’m also making a scrapbook with photos from her party that will have all the letters! let me know if you want more details on that!)
〰️ Schedule around nap time!!!
〰️ Set up a self-serve drink station (even if you have a latte cart, have water, juice, and adult beverages ;) easily accessible so guests can help themselves)
〰️ Create a play area for kids (keeps the little ones entertained & gives parents a break)
〰️ Lean on a theme for easier decision making, ours was “whimsical French café” whatever that means 🧚🏼‍♀️🧚🏼‍♀️🧚🏼‍♀️ as long as it makes sense to you and helps you say yes or no to things when planning, go for it
