ALL GOOD POINTS!

Thanksgiving is 48 hours away, and your kitchen is about to become ground zero for potential doggy disasters! Did you know that veterinary ER visits spike 200% during Thanksgiving weekend, mostly due to food toxicity and escape attempts?

This isn't meant to scare you—it's meant to prepare you! With the right game plan, you and your pup can enjoy a stress-free, safe, and joyful holiday together. 🦃❤️

The "Safe Plate vs. Danger Plate" Rule

Here’s the golden rule that prevents 90% of Thanksgiving emergencies: If you can't name every single ingredient, don't share it with your dog.

Mixed dishes like stuffing, casseroles, and mashed potatoes are loaded with hidden dangers—butter, garlic, onions, and salt that can cause everything from upset stomachs to life-threatening pancreatitis.
The "Door Dash" Emergency Plan
With guests arriving/leaving all day Thursday, escape risks skyrocket! Dogs may bolt out of excitement, anxiety, or curiosity when the door opens repeatedly.

Step 1: Create a Safe Zone
Set up a quiet room with your dog's bed, water, toys, and a long-lasting chew. Let them retreat there before guests arrive.

Step 2: Baby Gate Barrier
Use a baby gate to block access to the front door during peak arrival times. Keeps your pup calm.

Step 3: Microchip Check
Verify your dog's microchip info and ID tags are up-to-date. This ensures a quick reunion if they do slip out.

Pro Tip: Appoint a family "buddy" for the day—someone who checks on your dog and ensures they're not overwhelmed.

Let's make sure your furry family member has their best Thanksgiving yet! 🐾
