Composer Richard Band joins Flashback Weekend Chicago Horror Convention July 31 - Aug 2, 2026. Richard is known for his iconic horror film scores including "RE-ANIMATOR", "PUPPET MASTER", "FROM BEYOND", "GHOULIES", and many more! With over 140 film, television, and video game credits, he frequently collaborated with directors like Stuart Gordon and his brother, Charles Band (founder of Full Moon Features). His scores famously counter the dark visuals of genre films by employing lush, highly memorable orchestral themes.

Richard joins fellow composer legend Alan Howarth (Co-Composer of "ESCAPE FROM NEW YORK", "HALLOWEEN II", and many more), as part of our SALUTE TO THE GOLDEN AGE OF 80's HORROR" including David Naughton and Griffin Dunne ("AN AMERICAN WEREWOLF IN LONDON"), William Katt ("CARRIE", "HOUSE"), Tom Atkins, Jason Lively, and Jill Whitlow ("NIGHT OF THE CREEPS" 40th anniversary), "HALLOWEEN II" (1981) stars Dick Warlock (Michael Myers), Ana Alicia (Nurse Janet Marshall), Gloria Graham (Nurse Alves), and Robert Brian Wilson and Eric Freeman ("SILENT NIGHT, DEADLY NIGHT" series), and Svengoolie (Rich Koz)!
