I'm loading up my car to take it to Zoom Performance to get it ready for another season of chasing my friends in T5 at Time Trials in Texas. These guys are the best at looking after my NB Miatas. I'm looking forward to sponsoring a Spec Miata ride for Daryl, my favorite mechanic who treats my cars gently and affectionately.

We're back from a trip to TT national tour in Bowling Green Ky. I took the yellow car and was slower than before. Can't be my age, must be my concentration... and last year's tires... On the way back we stopped at my friend Chris Roy's Franklin Tennessee house and picked up the Miata top I found in a barn a month ago when I was coming back from Florida and the Carolinas. At the time I was in the '09 Altima coupe, our cheap to drive long distance traveler. Only car I ever bought new! Jim Bunch and Ivy and Tim were also there. Jim is now faster in his Mustang that I am in the Miata... All those laps at ECR have paid off! Ivy knocked the rear bumper off her new Mustang and I helped zip tie it back on... She is scary fast but trails Tim's times.
