Dear AXYS Trisomy X Community,
We are excited to share updates about upcoming opportunities for the Trisomy X community to connect, learn, and support one another.
The second annual 2026 AXYS Trisomy X Retreat will take place November 13–15, 2026, at Kanuga Inn & Lodging in Hendersonville, North Carolina. This retreat is designed for individuals ages 13+ with Trisomy X, including teens and adults, with parents and caregivers welcome. The weekend will provide a welcoming space to relax, connect, and recharge through a choice of opportunities such as creative activities, gentle outdoor experiences, games, and meaningful community connections.
Registration for the retreat is free, thanks to our generous donors. Meal packages are available for purchase, and lodging will be booked separately through Kanuga. Please help us get the word out by sharing this retreat flyer with anyone who may be interested.
We are also excited to begin planning a Trisomy X Mental Health Throughout the Lifespan educational Zoom series to be held over the coming months in late summer and early fall, focused on education, connection, and resources for individuals and families. Additional details, including webinar dates and registration information, will be shared soon.

This month we highlight recent initiatives including the successful EXtra EnergY Challenge and a self-advocate panel held to honor X&Y Chromosome Variation Month. The newsletter also announces upcoming educational opportunities, including a webinar on depathologizing language and lived experiences, encourages participation in NASCARR and the GALAXY Registry to advance research, shares details about the 2027 AXYS Community Conference in Chicago and the 2026 Trisomy X Retreat. Through research, advocacy, education, and peer support programs, AXYS continues to strengthen connections and resources for the X&Y chromosome variation community.
