Look at what this community is doing.
Thanks to neighbors like you, we've raised $3,454 of our $15,000 goal to save AniMeals.
Every gift so far means more full bowls and more seniors who get to keep the companion they love.
We still have $11,546 to go before July 15. If you've been meaning to give, now is a wonderful time.

Imagine choosing between your own groceries and feeding the pet who keeps you company.
For too many seniors on a fixed income, that is a real decision at the end of the month. Some quietly share their own meals with their dog or cat.
Some skip a refill on medication. AniMeals exists so they do not have to.
We deliver pet food right alongside Meals on Wheels, so a senior can care for themselves and care for their companion.
Help us keep that choice off the table through the link in the first comment.

Amber is a 13-year-old Goldendoodle, and she is the reason Janise keeps a routine.
When weakness made daily life harder this year, Janise leaned on the things that bring her comfort, and Amber is at the top of that list.
Through AniMeals, Janise gets her own Meals on Wheels and Amber gets her food, so Janise never has to choose between her own nutrition and her dog's.
They get to stay exactly where they belong, together.

AniMeals exists for a simple reason. A pet is often a senior's closest companion, the reason they keep a routine and the comfort that gets them through a quiet day.
Our mission is to make sure no older adult in Placer County has to give up that companion because of the cost of pet food.
We are also dreaming bigger: reaching every senior who needs help, not just our Meals on Wheels clients, and one day bringing mobile veterinary care and grooming to those who cannot get their pets to a clinic.
Help us protect what we have built and keep going through the link in the first comment.

Every program starts with one person who decides to do something.
AniMeals started with Charity. She began quietly keeping track of the Meals on Wheels clients who had a dog or a cat at home, because she kept meeting seniors who were splitting their own meals with a pet they could not bear to give up. In June 2025, that list became a program.
Today AniMeals delivers pet food right alongside Meals on Wheels across Placer County. It exists because someone noticed and decided no senior should have to choose.
