Confident dogs can act as social guides. They move through the world without alarm, investigate new environments calmly, and show the fearful dog that nothing bad is happening. Over time, the worried dog starts to mirror that emotional state. They sniff where the other dog sniffs, walk where the other dog walks, and begin to relax simply because their buddy is relaxed 💕

We often see fearful dogs make bigger strides walking with a neutral, steady dog than they do working alone. The presence of a safe, predictable companion can lower arousal, reduce scanning, and help them process the environment without feeling overwhelmed.

Sometimes confidence is contagious.
