I’ve been working on this piece since the beginning of the year, it just evaded me. I didn’t have enough flames, the right kind of destruction, the right kind of acceptance in the pictures I cut and tore apart. I can’t help but feel like this entire year has been a work through of The Tower, not in a dramatic personal way, but in an overarching societal way that weaves it’s way through our lives. In some pulls I did for upcoming events the Tower has come up again and again for the transition from summer into fall so I sit with the feeling of some things coming to a head, for better or worse … we never really know until it happens. When it comes down to it, we can fight it and struggle and drive yourself wild. Or, you can move with it, accepting the destruction as a path to something new​​​​​​​​
