Originally formed back in late 1996 by Rick LaRuez, Dean DiRisio and Mark DiRisio. Then with the addition of Jim Kokkinos in 1997, the lineup was complete. They went into the studio in 1998 and recorded an Original CD called "Piece Of Sane". It received airplay on local radio stations (96.5 WCMF and 90.5 WBER). They continued playing on the Rochester, NY music scene for a few years, and then took
a four year break. In 2005: Rick LaRuez, Dean DiRisio and Mark DiRisio got back together. Scott Talarczyk rounded out the lineup. This version of the band was mainly a cover band, which played a wide variety of music. This version lasted one year. In 2009: Rick LaRuez, Dean DiRisio and Mark DiRisio reunited for a few shows in 2009 and 2010 (as our original 3 piece), and then took a very long nine year break. In 2019: Rick LaRuez, Dean DiRisio and Mark DiRisio reunited once again. But this time we knew that we needed to complete the lineup with a fourth. In 2020: Our newest member (Marty Allocco) completed the lineup, and we were ready to reintroduce ourselves to the Rochester, NY music scene. But, then came covid-19.....
With the club scene being shut down, Whatever's Clever decided to record an album which included 10 previously unreleased Original Songs. In 2021: our album has been released on all streaming sites, and now we are in the market for a new Co-lead Guitarist/ Back Vocalist to complete our lineup.. Stay tuned....
