Jenkins Lovespoons are all original designs, individually created and entirely hand-made after the Welsh Lovespoon tradition, carved in my private studio near Columbus, Ohio.

How can you help keep Welsh culture alive in North America, AND get a chance to win this Lovespoon collaboration between Dave Western and myself - 2 years and thousands of miles in the making??? Come to the North American Festival of Wales TODAY at the Hyatt regency in Rochester, and get your chance(s) to win for $5 ea, or 5 chances for $20.
As always, 100% of ticket sales go to the WNAA to benefit NAFOW programming, and we hope our donation will inspire lots of benefit! The prize drawing will be TONIGHT (Saturday night), during the NAFOW Grand Concert. Here it is, basking in the morning light. :) Diolch yn fawr to Dave Western for inviting me into another of these collaborative adventures, and to the WNAA for their continued great work organizing another amazing festival! Cymru am byth!

I may not keep up so well, but my friend Dave Western sure does! If you're looking to give someone a Lovespoon this year, you're unlikely to do better than one from Dave!

Please forgive the prolonged social media silence... I've been struggling to regain my focus with some very complex Lovespoons, while navigating through myriad unrelated obstacles and distractions. Apparently, sometimes the artistic process demands a bit of a detour to help find that focus. Recently, I've been collaborating with one of my brilliant Studios on High Gallery-mates: Mikelle Hickman-Romine. Our collaborative show - "Crafting Enchantment" - will be featured in the gallery throughout the month of May. Be sure to stop in and see what happens when a jewelry artist and a wood carver collaborate! Studios on High Gallery, 686 North High St., Columbus. www.studiosonhigh.com

Amidst everything else for the past few years, I've had a project brewing for Upper Arlington's Concourse Gallery - they wanted to preserve the legacy of the local ash trees, which are being destroyed by the Emerald Ash Borer, so they asked local artists to create some art from logs they cut to our specifications from trees that were dying. Can you guess what I made? The UA Concourse Gallery is at 3600 Tremont Rd.. There are several interesting and beautiful pieces. Stop in if you can!
