As temperatures rise, here are a few important reminders to stay safe and healthy in the heat from our friends at the Monroe County Department of Public Health.
As We Prepare for Summer - Protect Your Skin from UV Rays☀️
Enjoy the sunshine safely with these simple tips:
• Seek shade, especially during midday hours
• Wear protective clothing that covers your skin
• Choose a wide-brimmed hat for extra coverage
• Wear sunglasses that block UV rays
• Apply broad-spectrum sunscreen with SPF 30+ and reapply every 2 hours (more often if swimming or sweating)
• Avoid tanning beds and artificial UV exposure
👶 Children and babies need extra sun protection too.
