WATER WELLS
Restoring water wells that have fallen into disrepair is central to the task of helping people: widows, orphans, elderly, infirm or others in distress. Children, parents, teachers and friends during the 2015 Magnolia Center Church of Christ Vacation Bible School, raised $3,500.00 for a new clean water well in the new district of Ngabwe, Zambia. The well site is on undeveloped ground to be used as a Mission Post where a clinic, church and classrooms are to be built. The well will serve many thirsty people in surrounding villages and those traveling from the towns of Kabwe and Luanshya, and the Kafue River.
Many children waited impatiently for the well to be drilled and were very excited when drillers of the new well produced a strong flow of clean water.
The well was a third attempt – the first two well sites were abandoned since the ground was too sandy and would not hold up. After only 100 feet of drilling, and three days of trying, abundant clean water was found confirming that many villagers and children will have plenty of water for drinking, washing (sanitation) and cooking, ensuring good health.
The people of Ngabwe are very appreciative and celebrated with great jubilation. Thank you for thinking of the children and villagers of Zambia – a world away. Your efforts to raise the money for a new well is inspiring and very motivational for others. The picture, below, shows the children before the well was completed.

Many people in Zambia, especially children, are victims of AIDS HIV. There are 1.1 million orphans in Zambia, a country of 13.5 million people. Many children suffer from Malaria, diarrhea and pneumonia. Our goal is to help all people: orphans, single mothers and widows, along with the sick and elderly by promoting cleanliness and preventing disease. Together, we can accomplish much.

African Missions: Clean Water Outreach is concerned with helping people in various needs and with proclaiming the Gospel of Christ. Current benevolent efforts include the restoration of water wells and dams to full use. Our ambition is to make clean water available for drinking, washing (sanitation) and cooking to all who ask. Wells supply water for humans while runoff water is collected and used for animals and irrigation.
