The bees are busy
The first video was taken today 4/23/23. The "Honeybee" Layens (left-rear) and Purple Top Bar (left-front) overwintered wonderfully. I really thought the Honeybee Layens was doomed, as I had to re-queen in the Fall and its numbers were low going into the winter last year: goes to show you how resilient these girls are. The "Purple P**f" (center-front) and "Mandala" (right-rear) Hives were packages that I installed on 3/24 from Barnyard Bees (today marks 30 days after installation). The unpainted Layens Nuc (5 frames) sitting on top of the unpainted and empty full-sized Layens hive(20 frames, far-right) houses a swarm that we recovered on 4/21/23.
The second video is taken of the PurpleTop Bar hive on 4/5.
The third video is of the Purple P**f Layens and the Mandala Layens (also taken on 4/5), approx. 12 days after package installation.
They are going gangbusters! These ladies are amazing and I could watch them all day. Thought you might enjoy seeing them too.
