reflecting back on 2021, it's not about how big a project we got to do, but rather those we got to do them for. this bottle opener was probably one of the "smallest" pieces we did this year, but it had the largest impact on us as we were reminded of the precious gift of life we are each given. a dear of friend of ours lost his father unexpectedly this year and we wanted to create something that would help him and his family remember their loved one in the days, weeks, and years to come. we were reminded that death does not discriminate and does not yield to our timeline. our prayer heading into the new year is that we all come to know what it means to live life fully and abundantly in the One who gives us our daily breath. as we ring in the new year, let's raise a glass to those who have gone before us 🍻

happy FriYAY! there's something so rewarding about having a visual reminder of all the work put into the shop for the week. time to clean up a bit to prep for the next project (and to keep the wifey happy 😉)

throw back Thursday to this past holiday season. one of our clients was looking for a way to utilize empty wall space in both a decorative and functional capacity. this wall plate display was a great way for our client to show off all her fine china without needing to utilize a big china cabinet.

anyone else ever run out of clamps? can't ever seem to have enough. these things are such a lifesaver for so many projects. working on a resin table currently and needed these clamps to hold down the wood to make sure it didn't float so that the resin didn't go where it wasn't supposed to. as an added bonus, here's a sneak peek of a project I'm working on!

woodworkers always have extra wood laying around after projects. we think part of the fun is taking inventory of what one has and trying to think of a way to use that left over wood. in this case, we had enough left over maple and walnut to make this serving tray. so glad we got to use the extra pieces and make something functional and beautiful from it!
