Your decision to join NJROTC senior year brought new enthusiasm and leadership to the unit. We really appreciate your dedication throughout the year, especially your eager involvement at our field meets. Today, our cadets placed flags on top of veteran’s graves to honor their memory and to give thanks to their sacrifice.

Tomorrow we remember and honor the heroes who made the ultimate sacrifice for our freedom. Memorial Day began after the Civil War as a time to decorate the graves of the fallen soldiers with flowers. Families celebrate Memorial Day by gathering in cemeteries and placing flowers and flags for the fallen soldiers. Today people around the country will take a moment of silence to remember that it's the land of the free because of the brave.

Take a moment of silence at 3pm to honor those who have fallen for our country.
