ARINC 619 Interface (ACMS, FOQA, MOQA, data collection)
The ARINC 619 interface within Envoy enables interconnections with a range of equipment and the Envoy unit. ARINC 619 devices can exchange data with Envoy for transmission over SATCOM, VHF, or processed internally to generate custom reports and messages. Connecting to an FMC allows Windows Aloft or Flight Plan updates processing and transmission to the ground. Human Interface & Unique Features Only Available with Envoy
LightSense autonomously senses the ambient lighting of the flight deck and adjusts accordingly. During daylight ops, display, and keyboard lighting increases to enhance visibility. During night ops, LightSense decreases brightness to avoid undue distraction and reduce fatigue and transitions even through dusk and twilight. Other units use exposed photo sensors that are prone to errors based on hand position. Envoys LightSense uses the entire keyboard surface to monitor ambient light from 60 different locations.
