✨ Meet the Herd: Roomina “Roo” ✨

The kind of horse that makes everyone feel at home🤎

Roomina, better known as Roo, came to us from a rescue in Bend, Oregon after spending much of her life as a brood mare and bringing multiple babies into the world. She carries the spirit of a mother everywhere she goes, and you can feel her gentle nature the moment you meet her.

Being a therapist comes naturally to Roo. She has a quiet way of making everyone around her feel safe, seen, and comforted, and she truly loves every minute of her work here at Raven Rock Ranch. 🐴

We’re so lucky this sweet girl found her way to us.

✨Meet the Herd: Rosy ✨

Small but mighty and impossible not to love 💕

Rosy is our purebred Miniature Horse, standing at just 30 inches tall. And fun fact: even though she’s tiny, she’s not a pony...she’s 100% horse!

Like many minis, Rosy didn’t always have a stable place to call home. She was passed around quite a bit and even sustained an injury to the inside of her mouth that left a hole that never fully healed. But her story took a turn for the better when she arrived at Raven Rock Ranch and finally in her forever home 🏡🐴

Rosy may be little, but her impact is huge. She brings smiles wherever she goes and reminds us that resilience comes in all sizes.

✨Meet the Herd: Bergie✨

No “R” name? That’s because Bergitta (aka Bergie) is Sandy’s very own Norwegian Fjord and a founding member of the Raven Rock family 💛

Bergie was our very first therapy horse, and she’s been changing lives from the very beginning. Whether she’s connecting with clients or showing off her impressive soccer skills (seriously, she LOVES a good game ⚽🐴), Bergie brings joy, energy, and heart to everything she does.

She does have laminitis, which means she has to stick to a very special diet with low sugar only! That means no grass and limited treats, but she still gets to enjoy the occasional carrot 🥕 (her favorite!).
