Does the shadow ever reach
For the light that created it?
Or, the light dare to dim itself
To save the shadow
That always seems to be watching?

The moon mourns each night,
She backs away slowly, and says goodbye
To the sun, whose hand she hopes will rise

Seasons changed,
And the colors of me faded

I sought warmth

And, if it did

There will come a day, when Paislee is older, that she understands the hard lessons I’ve given to her.

For instance, even if we stand in Target playing Mario Kart on the Nintendo Switch 2 demo for 45 minutes, daddy will lovingly, but continuously decimate, dominate and annihilate you on that Mario Kart demo every time. There are just some things that daddy cannot help you win. 😂
