Horns up!! My dudes in Malformed announced their EP “Death’s Promise” today - releasing 10/17. I had a TON of fun putting the cover design together for them.

Working with artwork from the legendary Nightjar art of Adam Burke was a dream and of course Adam’s painting here does all (and I mean ALL) of the heavy lifting. The only addition besides the type and rune overlays was adding Malformed’s sigil to the archway in the painting.

The boys have stepped their game up with this EP and should be super proud - so glad to be part of the sick artwork to push it forward 🤘🏻

This year’s variation on the Pagoda Pacers Athletic Club Kris Kringle 5-Mile logo! I realized when getting this post ready that I never shared 2024’s version either. Each year, the organization likes to change something up about the Santa, so we’ve been changing the sunglasses and hat choices. Racers love to collect the hoodies each year so having something unique is fun.

SLIDE 2 - Jake Belcher reached out to me with these photographs asking if I could do something cool for the cover art for their next single. He took these at work and it immediately gave me the awesome creepy vibes.

SLIDE 3 - This was “version 1.” My mind was going a monochromatic, light version that really played with the shadows and highlights of the original photo. Very different than the other single covers up to this point. I still very much like this version.

SLIDE 4 - Just to exhaust options, I started manipulating the chosen photo further and landed on this that just felt VERY John Carpenter’s “The Thing” and had this evil glow to it that I felt lended itself to the song better.

SLIDE 5 - I pulled some colors from something maaaaybe (definitely) coming in the future to tie some things together.
