As of this weekend, we are celebrating an exciting milestone: 500 community members have seen our show, Circle and Square! So many of you trusted us with your child’s first live theatre experience, and that is always an honor. Thank you for spending time with us this year!

We are wrapping up the week with another moment for you!

This is one of our favorite moments of “Circle and Square!” The audience always gasps with delight and we hear a few shouts of “rainbow!” every time. What I love most about this moment is that after seeing Circle and Square explore their separate worlds, this play object brings them together: the rectangular silk has corners like Square, but it flows like Circle!

This moment is made possible by a giant playsilk from the one and only - another material that is beautiful, durable and delightful - exactly what I’m looking for when making theatre for the very young!

Today is the first birthday of Small is All Productions!

A year ago today I officially incorporated Small is All Productions as a small business. I’ve learned a lot in this first year of production, but the clearest takeaway is how necessary this form of performance is in our community. Every show is full of surprise, discovery and connection. We all need as much of that as we can get these days. Thank you for being part of Small is All’s first year of making theatre for the very young in the Triangle!
