HEY ALL!!! I NEED YOUR HELP!

As you all know, Icing Queens has strived to become a safe place for all, to slow down, enjoy the company of others, enjoy sweet treats, and most importantly, having a great time through art.

I have been so privileged by the relationships and connections I’ve built since opening, and every class session makes me more proud of the community I am privileged to be a part of.

Please help nominate us for Best of Racine!

Hey all you cookie lovers! You love workshops?! Well my downstairs neighbor Maxilyn House has workshops too! They have the creative table, which features MANY art projects to choose from, you select a time, come in with your friends, and MAKE!!

They really have a wonderful shop and a beautiful mission. Please share their page, like, follow, comment, any support costs $0. šŸ’š

It’s July, and as we get closer to our one-year anniversary, I’ve been doing a lot of reflecting.

This past year hasn’t looked the way I imagined it would.

Building a small business has been one of the hardest things I’ve ever done. Between our location, low foot traffic, and trying to figure out what works, there have been more discouraging days than I care to admit. The truth is, we’re struggling.

Last month was one of the slowest months we’ve had since opening. It’s reached the point where paying the bills has become incredibly difficult, and that’s not something I ever imagined I’d be sharing publicly. But I also know that so many small businesses are quietly carrying these same worries.

I almost didn’t write this because asking for help isn’t easy. But if Maxilyn House has meant something to you, I’m asking for your support.

If you’ve been meaning to stop in, now is the time. If shopping isn’t in the cards right now, sharing our posts, inviting a friend to a workshop, telling someone about us, or simply interacting with our content helps more than you know. Every visit, every share, every comment truly makes a difference.

This little shop was built to be more than a gift shop. It was built to be a place where creativity and community come together. I still believe in that dream, I just need help getting more people through the door. For more people to know about us.

Thank you to every person who has supported us, encouraged us, shopped with us, attended a workshop, or shared our journey. We truly wouldn’t still be here without you.

We’re not giving up. We’re going to keep creating, keep showing up, and keep fighting for this dream. If you believe in what we’re building, we’d be so grateful if you’d help us spread the word and help us make it into year two šŸ–¤
