We have hand selected each basket with only authentic Italian products to showcase not only the flavors of the dish but to ensure that you can taste the food deep in your soul and connect with the story behind the dish. However, the most important thing to know is that each of our baskets include more than tangible items. Y
ou will get to know various families who have deep Italian roots, and you can learn about their history, possibly see some of their old photos, and become acquainted with their traditions surrounding the meal that is being shared in your basket. We want you to feel the love that pours out of the heart and souls of the families who are sharing in the process that we have created in order to bring you these beautiful baskets. Often, our enjoyment is just quietly watching their expressions and listening to the joy that they are feeling as they walk down memory lane. In addition to the subscription basket service, we have a beautiful pantry full of Authentic Italian staples just waiting for you to try. Go check out Mimi's Pantry for some amazing items. In our 3 course Sunday Dinner basket, you will receive a biography of the Host Family which includes their history, their traditions, and the recipe of their favorite Sunday Dinner. The recipes will be translated into English and will give you step by step instructions on how to create the dish. You will also receive a list of necessary perishable ingredients that you will need on hand as well as an assortment of ingredients from Mimi's Pantry which you will then use to create an amazing meal that consists of Antipasti (starter / appetizer), Primo or 1st Course (typically the Pasta Dish), and Frutta e dolce (dessert). We will even provide you with suggested wine pairings. Our 5 course Sunday Dinner basket includes the same as above but includes two additional recipes so you will have Antipasti (starter / appetizer), Insalata (salad), Primo or 1st Course (typically the Pasta Dish), Secondo or 2nd Course (protein-based course) and Frutta e dolce (dessert).
