Day one on the TAT was a success.
Right off I hit up Zion Ridge in WV even though we had a bunch of rain and Sam’s maps say it’s deep mud and deep ruts and an alternate route is planned around it. Was eager to get in the mud so gave it a shot. Do. Not. Advise! Lol
One of the planned trails in WV (PR86) was closed permanently so took some time to backtrack and plan route around. The dogs enjoyed their pit stop to play in the river though Monongahela NP. Camped in some random spot in George Washington NP in Virginia.
