8-year-old Kamora had the time of her life today!
She was absolutely ecstatic after catching her very first fish, and to top it off, she won first prize! The moment that fish came out of the water, her eyes lit up like it was Christmas morning. You could feel her excitement radiate through the entire space.

She walked around holding that fish with the biggest smile on her face, proudly showing it off to every single person she passed. She must've held onto it for over an hour, and she kept saying, β€œI can’t believe I really did it!”

Watching her confidence grow in real-time was one of the most beautiful things to witness. It reminded us all how important these moments are, not just for fun, but for building our children up from the inside out.

Such a special day. One we won’t forget anytime soon.

What a incredible weekend!!!! Count Me In Group had an absolutely phenomenal day with over 30 incredible children, completely unplugged from tech and fully immersed in the simple joy of fishing. For many, it was their first time ever holding a rod, casting a line, and feeling that unforgettable tug from the water. They’ll remember this day, not just because they caught fish, but because they caught a glimpse of another version of themself, and who they can become.
Huge thanks to Alisha Thomas Searcy for your unwavering support and to Representative Roger Bruce for hosting the Kids Fishing Rodeo, where hundreds of children had the chance to connect with nature and each other, away from screens, notifications, and noise, making this life-giving experience possible. These are the moments that count!! www.countmeingroup.org
