This week there will be two opportunities to attend the Trans Allyship Trainings, co-sponsored by the LGBTQ Center and TransMission. The training is open to all students, faculty, staff, and administrators. We strongly encourage faculty to attend, so please invite your professors!
The training will focus on a variety of topics, including (but not limited to) vocabulary, institutionalized ciss*xism, pronouns, race and gender, and trans issues in the classroom. Both sessions will be facilitated by Spencer Garcia ’18 and Chris Rodriguez’19, with support from Judy Jarvis.
The sessions will be held on Thursday, November 19th from 1:30-3pm and 5-6:30pm in the CC MPR (the same material will be offered at each session). RSVP to Chris ([email protected]) to reserve your spot.
For those who have attended a Trans Allyship Training in the past, do consider attending again. The facilitators have made significant and important changes to the materials and there is always more to learn!
