I painted this piece during a really weird time when I was just getting back into the swing of things after having a baby. I remember feeling excited and joyful as I swept each color on, one after another. It was like as I added color to my work, I started to feel alive again after months of hormones and late nights.

When I look at this piece I feel: Hopeful. Like summer is just around the corner.
