I am in love with the beauty of this world. Aurora, cloud inversion, and the tail end of the Milky Way. Phew this adventure took it out of me but also renewed my spirit about all things. It was one I will always remember. An unedited cell phone raw and a few from the camera to show ya while I work on the shots I got with my camera.

Truly humbled by how much incredible feedback I got on this and was requested to post it so here it is! Yes you read correct, I took this with none other than a cell phone. Lately I’ve had a lot of fun shooting using this along side with my camera to show what is possible with the iPhone 13. Especially during the night I’m always amazed how much detail it picks up! And a camera isn’t accessible to everyone so this is a nice alternative if you have it! I’ve even shot for some night time-lapses (see my blood-moon one if you haven’t!)

People ask me what the trick is with the cell phone. It does take long exposures! If you look at that little nice number up at the top left and click it. Down towards the bottom you’ll see you can scroll to the right to choose a higher time. Up to 10 seconds! If you hold it completely still you can get up to 30. That’s all it takes! Hope this helps for those wondering how I do mine. ❤️

It's experiences like these that help me hold onto a light in what feels like a chaotic and sometimes dark world. It helps me put into perspective the things that really matter, and let go of the things that don't. Finding gratitude in these moments.

I appreciate these small moments more than anything and they help me have faith that everything is going to be okay.

After shooting the eclipse the other night, I was graced with this beautiful sunrise. I haven’t seen colors like these in a while. It was truly breathtaking. Watching the sunset is part of my daily routine so catching a sunrise is usually pretty special. Although a little more often now that I stay up and shoot the stars all night.

What’s a simple pleasure in life that you enjoy?

Happy Mother’s Day to the most influential woman who was in my life. Not a week goes by I don’t think of how strong, tenacious, kind, loving, and courageous she was. The very first years of my life were spent with her, and then later on she was the one who really took care of me. I attribute a lot of who I am to her. I sadly lost her in high school but she stays with me in my heart always. I miss her so much, and have so much gratitude for having her in my life. My grandpa and her were incredible people. They taught and showed me what real love was. ✨
