Last week I had the pleasure of visiting with small businesses along SE Division Street. We were joined by staff and volunteers from the Business District—they shared their collective challenges, opportunities to thrive, and how the efforts of a business/community organization can improve the district and support local businesses. Thank you and for your time and engagement.

Thank you for welcoming me and my D3 colleagues to engage with neighbors and advocates at your Neighborhood Association meeting. You all set the bar high for strong civic engagement and community organizing.

Protecting frontline, public safety staff and violence prevention programs should be prioritized over Council and City Administrator office budgets.
