It all started when I made the decision to go public with my own story of triumph over domestic violence. I had gone to therapy right after leaving the relationship and eventually was told by my therapist that she felt I was strong enough to face my brave new world without any more session. Despite being grateful for her stamp of emotional healthiness, I found I was still uncertain about how to pi
ece together a plan that would move me from where I was - surviving - to where I wanted to be - thriving! Gradually I wove together a flourishing life for my son that was beyond what I could have ever imagined in those early days. And as I continued to talk to others about my journey, I learned I wasn't alone. There were others who were facing their own major life transition and longed for someone to cheer them on; help them see a vision of what their lives could be; and develop a clear, balanced strategy for getting there. Starting with a small group of women, Living to Thrive - a group coaching series - was born. They all started in different places: looking to find their joy again; obtaining the education necessary to have a meaningful, financially stable career; becoming more positive; reclaiming their health. And over the course of the program, they began to grow. They found they could set positive boundaries that allowed them to be more joyful. Community accountability helped them to stay on track with fitness and educational goals. And consistent expressions of gratitude began shifting life long paradigms.
