Everyone loves the idea of being an entrepreneur—especially today.

But the truth is, nothing can fully prepare you for this life. I’ve found that most people make excuses for why their business isn’t where it needs to be—or why they haven’t even started.

The reality? You can quit your job too ya know lol. But where do you start?

HAVE A PLAN

Before I quit my job, I worked full-time while building my business. I calculated how long it would take to get things up and running, and my focus was simple: get paying customers as fast as possible.

For 10 months straight, I woke up at 4:30 AM, worked on my business until 7 AM, then commuted two hours to Long Island. That long train ride? I spent it thinking and strategizing.

After work, I stayed until 8–9 PM, grinding away on my laptop. I was building —and I had a plan.

My goal was to launch Nubi 1.0 and start selling immediately. As a backup, I picked up deliveries to ensure I still had an income. I knew I needed financial stability before taking the leap, so I laid out a plan.

By month 11, I sent in my resignation. I had tested the product with beta users, and it was a hit. It was time to go all in.

ARE YOU RESILIENT?

Entrepreneurship comes with ups and downs. Can you get back up when you get knocked down? Can you withstand turbulence—or will you break?

For me, failure wasn’t an option. I embraced every challenge and did what I had to do to make it work.

HOW IS YOUR EMOTIONAL INTELLIGENCE?

What happens when you haven’t made a sale in months and the bills are piling up? Will you still show up and put in the work—or are you only dedicated when you’re feeling motivated?

Entrepreneurship is tough. Discipline is everything. You have to show up daily, no matter what.

The same business I quit my job for is now my source of income. It hasn’t been easy, but I’m so grateful I took that leap.
