YouthLine is a teen-to-teen youth crisis and support service provided by Lines for Life—a non-profit dedicated to preventing substance abuse and suicide. YouthLine operates a national helpline that provides crisis support and referrals via call, text, and chat. YouthLine is answered by teens daily from 4pm-10pm PST and by adults at all other times. This account is NOT monitored 24/7.

Mental Health Awareness Month is a reminder of the importance of checking in with the people in our lives, and creating a nonjudgmental space for them to exist. Here is the first of a couple of our YouthLine volunteers who shared what this month means to them, and what they want people to know about mental health.
