To rephrase this headline is 6%-7% are normal interest rates. Higher interest rates have been in history of home buying as well. 13% or higher was not normal in the 80's but it happened. The 2%-3% was abnormally low for almost a generation of buyers. We can get a sense of mortgage rates by looking back historically to see where we may land in 2025.
