Now I'm no expert, but I am a gal who enjoys consuming content around personal development, the nervous system, neuroscience, etc. And I've learned a few things. Today I'd like to share my thoughts w you around feelings of guilt, shame, and imposter syndrome. Here's a few things I've learned:
✨️ No one is perfect, so why do I expect myself to be? So start that new hobby, put out that piece of content you're afraid to, whatever it is, do the dang thing even if it's sloppy!
✨️ Waiting to be perfect will keep you stuck.
✨️ The feelings you ignore (like guilt + shame) won't magically go away until you examine them. What you resist, persists!
✨️ Most of our triggers originated in childhood. Our response to those triggers kept us safe at the time. So thank those parts for keeping you safe then and realize that here in this moment you are safe.
✨️ Feeling regret, guilt, or shame only creates more lower vibrational energies and that will manifest as anxiety and depression. So let that s**t go!
Thanks for listening to my Ted Talk 🖤

When life is lifing, a gal's gotta keep on dancing. These are a few practices I do in the morning as self-care rituals. I notice when I don't do them I am not as regulated, or as confident, and I become a little unhinged 😵‍💫 As someone with a neurospicy brain, it's so important to move my body. I've been belly dancing a few times a week in the mornings and its been a game changer for me.Belly dancing is good somatic practice that helps you come into your body and release stored trauma, which is great for calming the nervous system. Belly dancing is also beneficial to your lymphatic system draining toxins out of your body. Not only that, but it's super fun, helps improve posture, strengthens pelvic floor and core muscles, and you feel like a baddie doing it 💃 Another thing I do when I'm feeling angsty I like to listen to early 2000's emo music to blow off some steam 😤 Next, I like to do a reiki cleansing, smudge, and/or meditation. Dropping into your body and observing your thoughts is great for cultivating mindfulness and practicing the art of detachment Doing all or a combo of these daily has done wonders for me. Do you have a daily self-care practice?
