Vintage children's toy ladle repair with Harris Sta-Clean Flux, plumbing solder, and a heat gun . Did you know a cheap Harbor Freight heat gun can melt solder? Judy at Multnomah Antique Gallery will be pleased with this fix as it keeps a set complete.

De-rusting with electrolysis is pretty well known thanks to YouTube, but it's memorizing to watch nonetheless. Took over 2 days to completely blacken this plate by forcing it to accept electrons. The smaller pieces around the perimeter are sacrificed --they give up electrons and oxidize like mad! H2O is also split apart, with O2 and H2 bubbles rising from the parts in streams of tiny bubbles. Maybe I'll collect some for fun! @ Multnomah Village, Portland West
Awesome Porter Cable cordless hammer drill saved from the dumpster! Handle base was smashed, but a piece of heated plastic pipe and an electrical receptacle convert it to a "corded" drill that runs off my truck battery or power pack.
