Mostly moved back into my basement studio, it’s like coming home to an old friend.

This installment of
is a bit of a hodgepodge.

Which feels right—
because so is my life right now.

As a mom, I’m helping my kid make one of the biggest decisions of his life.
As a daughter, I’m learning what it means to watch the person who gave you life near the end of theirs.
As a professional, I’m juggling a small business and a full-time job—something always slipping off the deck.

And the world itself?
A little chaotic.
Like we’re all unmoored, floating somewhere between where we’ve been and where we’re headed.

The journey isn’t always rosy.
You just have to be still and trust the sails. If not, you’re swimming with the dolphins.

A little bit of everything—
this hodgepodge and more—
arriving soon at the OtherOre showroom URBANITE PDX

Not to be koi… but I’ve been very busy.

Studio buildout. Parenting. Full-time work.
Life has been chaos, but the little things still matter.

This brass koi? It’s my favorite of this bunch.
A tiny symbol of constant movement under the surface, resilience, and forward momentum.

These tiny objects and more will be swimming into the showroom soon. 🐟✨

In this installment of I reflect on the art of small giving.

Gift giving season always arrives loudly with lists, boxes, and the pressure to make love look impressive and expensive.
But the gifts that stayed were usually smaller.

A quiet note tucked beneath a keyboard.
A favorite bar of chocolate.
A movie marathon night.
Music scoured and thrifted from the depths of the 90s.
An invite to a comedy show
A fish and chips date.
An anticipated application accepted.
An unsolicited hug from your teenager.

Those gifts didn’t perform. They didn’t ask for anything back.
They brought a quieter kind of peace.
In a season obsessed with more, small gifts carried the most grace.

Thank you to all of you who visited the showrooms and bought and gave another a small thing. I hope it had a big impact.
