Small towns show up for each other. That’s what makes places like Maine special.

Last week, the tragic fire and explosion at the Robbins Lumber mill in Searsmont injured multiple firefighters and claimed the life of 27-year-old firefighter Andrew Cross as crews responded to the blaze.

On June 10, when we gather at Vinegar Hill, I want to do a little more than play music.

As a daughter of a fire chief and former volunteer firefighter myself, for every ticket sold, I will be donating a portion directly toward supporting the firefighters affected by the Searsmont mill fire. The Arundel Fire Department will also be outside running a “Fill the Boot” drive if you wish to contribute further.

If you’ve been thinking about coming to the show, now’s the time. Let’s fill the room, sing loud, and give back to the people who run toward danger for their community.
