This makes me so happy. Having trees that show the glory of autumn in our yard. I don’t even mind raking the leaves!

I can’t even describe the uniqueness of these ranunculus. Such a variety of colors in such a small flower. Perfect for a fall arrangement.

And it’s a wrap! From January to October I have done 20 weddings. A little slower this year, but much more manageable. Celebrating the close of this wedding season with this lush cascading bouquet at one of my favorite venues . Congratulations to L&J today and thank you to all my fabulous brides and grooms this season. Now for some much needed rest and rejuvenation!

I am just wrapping up the wedding season this weekend and I realized I have done 20 boutonnières this season and I was feeling like it was getting repetitive, even though I try my very hardest to make each and every one different and unique. However a dear client of mine recently pointed out that although they may be routine to me, they are very special for the recipients. I hope the groom appreciates this boutonnière I made for him for his big day tomorrow.

There is just something about a foggy fall morning that makes me feel all cozy inside.

Is there anything more beautiful than a sunset? I am sure there is, but right now I would say this is on the top of the list.

I admit Halloween is not my favorite “celebration” but I can’t resist displaying these paper mache decorations I made years ago by taking one of the online classes taught by the fabulous . I am really enjoying these tiered trays to display Holiday decorations (you can fit more in of course)!

I can’t get over this amazing photo from and what a stunning bride and handsome groom. It was a beautiful wedding in Sun Valley over Labor Day and I was honored to be the lucky one who was able to create the bouquet for this lovely bride.

If someone had told me 13 years ago I would be been creating floral designs, I seriously would have laughed at them. This has been a journey which has required a lot of hard work, lots of trial (with thank goodness, little error), and of course amazing support from my family and friends. This wedding was one of my proudest moments and as I see the images coming in from I am even more amazed that I did this. Of course it helps when you pull in some of the best workers to create an amazing team as well as a fabulous chandelier from you can do almost anything!

Apparently there is something about our yard that attracts lost pigs. Today a very hungry mamma pig and her five piglets wondered into our yard. Ruby wasn’t quite sure what to do again and neither was I, but thanks to our very knowledgeable neighbor and lots of chasing we gathered them up and put them in her barn for the night. FYI in case you didn’t know, piglets are fast, strong and squeal very loud. Country life is not boring for sure! Wonder what will come here next?

It was such a busy summer and I was not able to get any canning done, so yesterday I found the time and the very last of the blackberries and peaches and made blackberry syrup and peach vanilla syrup. Next year I hope to set aside one weekend a month to process the months harvest to enjoy during the long winter months, but for now I will have to be satisfied with the little I did get done.
