Sophia Gonzales, a senior from Laramie, Wyo., won the girls’ 3200 meters with a time of 11:02.54.

Jackson Spencer, a senior from Syracuse, Utah, won the boys 3200 meters with a time of 8:50.50. He said he was “shooting for Danny’s [Daniel Simmons] record” [of 8:48.08] but just missed. Jackson said that he loves the Games; he will run for Brigham Young next year.
