Divinely Divorced

Happy Tuesday from Dr. Carol. 🌺 I hope you’re all doing well or as well as you can be in this chaotic world. It’s been an awhile since I’ve posted a message & wanted to express gratitude 🙏. I don’t know about you but sometimes gratitude eludes me when I see all the death & destruction that is being levied on the Middle East. I feel like I’m in a perpetual state of grief & have been for many years now. When I think about gratitude though, it really does lift my spirits. It reminds me how far I’ve evolved & learned about taking much better care of myself after giving so much to others. If you knew my story you’d understand. My daughter is encouraging me to write a book & I’m seriously considering it. It is an inspirational story of resilience, strength, smarts, & empathy. When I think about the awful things that I’ve been through, I must also remember the joys. There are so many. My kids being the biggest joy of my life & when I see them struggling, I want to move mountains to lessen their suffering but know that, as I had to learn to pick myself up, they too must learn & I must let them. When I feel angry with my kids, I think of my mom & think how many times she must have felt furious with me because of my decisions. The thing is we all learn at different paces. One size does not fit all. What doesn’t ever change is the unconditional love that my heart holds even when steam is coming out of my ears. That steam signifies a relationship with all of its ups & down. I’ve gotten better at channeling my anger for the greater good & making change where I can. Our capacity to love is boundless. People in power have forgotten this very important life lesson. Let us help them remember! In solidarity! ♥️
