Fred Latham is TKO'd on ShowBox by New Zealand's Junior FA.
Our best wishes go out to Freddy Latham for a full recovery after being thrown into the fire pits of hell. Latham was lured into his lifetime highest payday of less than 8 thousand dollars to fight
New Zealand's Jr Fa.
Fa a highly touted heavyweight who had defeated World Heavyweight Champion Joesph Parker on 2 of 2 amateur fights was looking for another fish to promote his American startup.
Latham entered the ring with a spring in his step but has not fought in over 11 months.
Latham came into the ring at a career high of 262 pounds . FA came in at 262 but with a 6-5 frame had a huge edge to Latham's body mass.
After the first Bell it became apparent Latham was out of shape and not trained properly for a fighter of FA's Caliber.
FA basically started throwing the leather with speed and strength Latham was not ready for. As you see in the photo Latham was clicked out by a big right hand and the fight was stopped in its first minute.
Pittsburgh Fred Latham Jr had a promising career but due to his management and training has not received the training for such a step up fight . Basically Latham was sold out for the payday by his current advisors and should have never been advised to be promoted for that fight because he had inadequate training and was severely out of shape.as Latham has not been trained for a fighter of FA's caliber.
This is the second time in a year or two Pittsburgh 2 top heavyweights have been sold out for a payday. Ed Latimore was the other top prospect to fall into a rush to the bank when he was KOd for a TV bout.
The bottom line is now can Latimore or Latham rebound to become A side boxing material or will yet be led to the bank for others advances.
Shame on who ever talked either of Pittsburghs fighters into these type match ups s and took part of there paydays.
